About – Moderating a Virtual Session
Moderating a session at the 2021 AASECT Virtual Conference is a wonderful way to connect with conference attendees and help ensure that the session environment is conducive to effective teaching and learning.
AASECT Moderators help establish a friendly atmosphere, make the presenter(s) & attendees feel welcome, and facilitate a lively and productive Q&A within the session.
As you look through our Virtual Conference Schedule at the exciting lineup of virtual workshops we have available this year, please consider signing up to moderate a session! If you don’t see a moderator listed on the website for a session, that means the session still needs a moderator and we would love your help! Please note: pre-conference workshops and poster session do not require a moderator.
Sign up today – complete the Google form here with the title of the session or sessions you would like to moderate and your full name and credentials as you would like it to appear in the conference program online.
These moderating opportunities are first-come, first-served, so if there are several sessions you are willing to moderate, please list them all in your email. Session details and moderator information will follow once your session has been assigned. Please note, you must be a current member of AASECT to moderate a conference session.
