Volunteer at the 2024 Annual Conference!

AASECT Members: Join our onsite team in St. Louis to support attendees and help them get the most out of their conference experience June 12-15, 2024.

The primary responsibility of the conference volunteer team is to make our attendees feel welcome and supported throughout the conference. Contributions may also include:

    • CE scanning
    • Moderating workshops (if needed)
    • Helping at registration
    • Welcoming exhibitors and sponsors
    • Virtually moderating the live-streamed sessions
    • Taking photos of the event
    • Directing attendees to appropriate conference locations

The conference organizing committee is looking for volunteers who can embody a welcoming and friendly disposition so that attendees can feel a personal connection to AASECT.

By volunteering at the conference, you have the opportunity to contribute to the AASECT Community and be a part of the exciting programming we have in store. Selected volunteers will receive complimentary conference registration as gratitude from AASECT for your service.

AASECT is committed to creating and fostering an inclusive environment at our events rooted in our DEI-centered Strategic Plan. We encourage members from under-represented and marginalized communities to apply for these volunteering opportunities.

Requirements

    • Active AASECT Membership: Student, early career professional, or professional.
    • You have not been a conference volunteer more than two times in the past.
    • You were not a volunteer at the 2023 AASECT Annual Conference.
    • Available for onsite support starting Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 2:00 pm through Saturday, June 15, 2024.
    • Open to participate in meetings/conference calls as required prior to and onsite at the conference.

Selected volunteers will receive complimentary conference registration for the 2024 general program while assuming responsibility for their own lodging and travel expenses.

Application Deadline: April 14

Submit the 2024 Volunteer Application by April 14, 2024 to be considered as an onsite volunteer. A team of volunteers will be selected from the application submissions. Thank you for your interest! We couldn’t do this without you.
